Major Industries Memorial Day Hours

Project Spotlight - Skylights Illuminate PAST Innovation Lab

Major Industries recently provided a few Auburn® glass skylights for the PAST Foundation Innovation Lab in Columbus, Ohio. The PAST Foundation is made up of scientists and educators who work together to create programs for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) schools that focus on a learn-by-doing approach.


The newly renovated warehouse that's home for the Innovation Lab is divided into hands-on learning labs with flexible seating areas and access to the latest technology. WSA Studio designed the space, which has a central design feature - a large “agora” space that can accommodate overflow from adjacent classrooms and provides additional separate learning space. The highlight of the space are two large Auburn® glass single slope skylights that provide access to daylight for both the space itself and the adjoining rooms. Access to natural light, especially in a location such as this in the central part of a building, can make the space feel more inviting, and cut down on artificial lighting needs during peak use hours.

See You @ the AIA National Convention!

The 2016 AIA National Convention and Expo in Philadelphia is only a few days away, and we've been busy getting ready for the Expo with a new booth, some new samples and free give-aways. If you're headed to the convention, we encourage you to stop by our booth - #1922 - and check out what's new in skylights, wall systems and canopies. From translucent panel systems to glass and polycarbonate multi-wall, as well as mixed glazed systems, we have a daylighting solution that's sure to fit your needs.

Major is also participating in this year's Expo Chat program. Major Industries recently exhibited at the AIA Wisconsin Convention and Expo along with our local representatives, AluSpec. Jason Weber Named Plant Manager

Major Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Weber to Plant Manager.

Jason’s strong performance as Major’s Assistant Plant Manager over the last two years was demonstrated by his technical knowledge and eagerness to learn how to best direct Major’s manufacturing process. His previous experience as an Estimator and Project Leader with Major’s Inside Sales group, and his dedication to customers and company goals, will allow him to seamlessly make the transition into this new and challenging leadership role.

As Plant Manager, Jason will become an integral part of Major’s staff, overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, working with outside vendors and suppliers to maintain existing relationships and create new opportunities, and taking a lead role in quality assurance and the timely processing of customer orders.
